Gap Year Programme

This is a course designed to improve your German and prepare you for the ski or snowboard instructors' exams.  Here's what to expect!

  1. Intensive German tuition (09:00 to 12:15 = 4 x 45 min. lessons Monday to Thursday for a minimum of 3 people in a class.  2 people: 3 lessons. 1 person: 2 lessons) including all lesson materials, at the Deutsch-Institut Tirol, plus the free time programme on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Although voluntary, these parts of the programme are important for your total immersion experience, as you have to use the German you’ve learned, in authentic situations.
  2. Accommodation:  DIT helps you to reserve a room with breakfast in a neary pension.
  3. Ski instructor's training on the glacier by qualified instructors of Kaprun Ski Academy  who’ve passed the exam themselves.

Intensive-German-Course

Intensive German Course

The DIT weekly intensive German group course of any number of weeks has classes of an average of 3 persons per class.

Cost: € 490 for one week. For courses starting from 01.05.23, staggered prices apply depending on the length of stay: € 460/week for a course duration of two or three weeks. Long-term German courses for adults for € 430/week from 4 weeks on.

Courses-for-young-adults

Courses for young adults

We offer special youth courses or courses for young adults between the ages of 18 and 29. Instead of € 490, German students of this age pay € 390 per week for their language course including lessons and leisure program.

A German course in the middle of the Alps is particularly interesting for young people, as they can combine their language vacation with activities such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking, tennis, yoga, horseback riding and much more.

Seniors' Courses in German

2023 we offer four two-week German courses for seniors (+/- 50+). Our seniors' courses are a great success every year. Learn German with inquisitive people of your age and experience a language trip characterized by good conversation, beautiful excursions, cozy afternoons with coffee and a good view of the Kitzbühel Alps.

Our German courses for two are a special offer 2023. Those who come in pairs pay less. This applies to couples, friends, siblings, family, etc. The course includes tuition and three leisure programs per week.
